Garland’s latest intimate project fusing chamber jazz, classical and folk, Weather Walker evokes the varied seasons and moods of the Lake District and traditional song from north-west England. St Ann’s Church provides the evocative setting for his atmospheric and richly varied new repertoire.
The players are specially chosen to perfectly realise Garland’s music. Powerful and sensitive soloists in their own right, they each add their own interweaving textures to the ever-changing patterns and rolling soundscapes, from Rebello’s expansive harmonics, to Selaocoe’s tumbling rhythms to Garland’s own virtuosity
