Album Launch | Antonio Oyarzábal | El Fin del Silencio
Join us to celebrate the launch of Pixaudios new album featuring Spanish pianist Antonio Oyarzábal: ‘El Fin del Silencio’ focuses on musical creations for piano by Spanish and Latin American women composers arbitrarily silenced and neglected for decades. Twenty-one composers form this musical mosaic where Oyarzábal defends their distinctive musical idiosyncrasies and proves once again his commitment to highlighting music written by women. The programme includes music by fellow Basque artist, Emiliana Zubeldía, as well as a nod to the 2023 centenary of pianist and composer Alicia de Larrocha.
This event is organised by the Iberian & Latin American Music Society in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes Manchester as part of Echoes Festival 2023.
